On May 11,2003 Fred Kelly of Tomatin, Inverness-shire Scotland visited the NOFU website and left a message in the  guestbook. Fred's father was William Raymond Kelly of Placentia, an NOFU member who passed away in Scotland about seven years ago. In his message Fred indicated that his mother was in posession of a Bible that was found in a telephone booth in Tomatin at some point during the war, and inside was the inscription  "Mr. Wesley Ford, Amherst Cove, Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland".
Within a couple of weeks  Wesley Ford's family was found, including  his younger sister Rita currently living in Pickering, Ontario. Sadly, Wesley passed away at the age of 27 a few years after returning home from Scotland at the end of WWII.
Fred has now returned the Bible to Wesley's sister Rita. Below is Fred's guestbook entry.
